St. Mark’s Cares!

Blood Drive September 16

All St. Mark United Methodist Church members are invited to donate blood at our first community blood drive since 2008.
When: Wednesday, September 16 from 3:00 – 7:00pm.
This is an important blood drive. During the current 2020 COVID-19 shut down, Community Blood Center lost over 350 blood drives and approximately 10,000 units of blood which affects 30,000 lives. Blood donation is critical for saving lives. Will you act now and be the change? Everyone who registers will receive a “It’s Time to Save a Life” t-shirt. All registered donors will also be automatically entered to win a Sleep Number Bed! So wake up and shine by saving lives and preventing blood shortages.
All donors must have an appointment. Click on the link to schedule your appointment:

As our primary mission organization focused on ministry “outside our own four walls,” St. Mark’s Cares supports numerous projects locally and around the globe each year. Contact the church office or check the weekly bulletin to find out this month’s mission focus. Listed below are the ministry partners supported by St. Mark’s Cares in 2018:

The Jubilee Project c/o UMC Ohio River Valley District, 7388 E. Kemper Rd., Cincinnati, OH 45249.
The Jubilee Project is a ministry of the United Methodist church in Cincinnati. We believe that God works every day of the week to bring Jubilee and not just Sunday.  We take a house nobody wants. We hire people in the community that are deemed “unhirable”. The house becomes a job training lab that helps people learn valuable job skills. The house is sold to a member of the community caught in the cycle of renting at ZERO % interest. We take the money from the sale and go get another house. We spread Jubilee. Website
